New Tasting Notes
Peter Lehmann Wines 2006 Mentor
'Has retained good hue and depth; skilled winemaking, the primary ferment finished in barrel, then maturation for 18 months in French oak hogsheads has resulted in a fine, cedary bouquet, the palate with elegant blackcurrant fruit, cedar nuances, and a very long finish amplified by precisely the amount of savoury tannins cabernet should have.
Cabernet Sauvignon. 96 points, drink to 2026, $40, Screwcap, 14.5% alc.'
The 2006 Mentor is currently available through selected fine wine retailers and restaurants, as well as Cellar Door and online.
